Pilates & Performance Stretch Coach, World Champion in Synchronized Skating

Becky is a skilled mindful movement educator and technical skating specialist who’s journey into wellness started in 2011 when she enrolled in York University’s Kinesiology & Health Science program. With her background in Exercise Science, Pilates, Figure Skating, Hockey, Dance, and Meditation, a deeper curiosity of movement, mental health, breathwork, and athletic recovery grew. She has since made it her mission to expand and share her knowledge to help others heal and prevent injury. She has continued to build her relationships with a number of elite and professional athletes, both on the ice and in the gym, working alongside Derrell Levy of In-Tech High Performance Training since 2018. Over the years she has created her own database of training and recovery philosophies combining the Restorative Pilates Method, Barre Pilates, and Fascial Stretch Therapy alongside her personal experiences with movement and contrast therapy throughout her competitive ice skating career.

While Becky is an avid student for life, she plans to continue teaching and sharing her extensive knowledge with the RCVRY Room; a space where athletes can come to relax, recharge, and rehabilitate their bodies and minds.

Taryn Mori

RCVRY Room Tech, Recovery & Stretching

Taryn Mori, BASc (Hons) Kinesiology, Diploma in Fitness & Health Promotion, MPK (Candidate)

Recovery and Stretching

Taryn’s initial dream of becoming a Physiotherapist shifted after an internship in her fourth year of undergrad, where she trained high-performance athletes and developed a keen interest in strength and conditioning. Despite this change of path, Taryn upheld an interest in injury prevention and treatment, and has since looked for ways to integrate these principles with her strength and conditioning expertise.

Drawing from her educational, professional and personal experiences, Taryn understands the importance of stretching through her own years of dance and gymnastics practice. She incorporates her competitive and recreational dance training into her teachings, alongside utilizing evidence-based research from her education background. Her goal is to integrate sports-specific strength and conditioning training with stretching and recovery modalities to create a holistic approach that improves athletes’ performance and overall well-being.
